I NEVER KNEW CY TWOMBLY
XX POEMS
Some of my poems were inspired by my response
to Cy Twombly’s paintings,
his sculptures, his polaroids.
Others by my experience in Rome, in Gaeta, in Bassano.
Since 2014 his work has touched me deeply, evoking
a need to respond in both images and words.
His universe seduced me,
I have still to visit Lexington.
